The workers at Elkhart Mechanics were friendly and professional. I don't know a lot about mechanics. They performed diagnostics on my car and showed me what the problem was. After performing some badly needed cleaning, they cleared all of the error codes so my car ran as well as it did when I first purchased it. They were fast and the prices were more reasonable than I expected. I appreciated them explaining the issues and giving me a cost quote before they started the work. My Mercury Mountaineer stranded me along the road. All of the fluid leaked from the radiator and I thought that the radiator was shot. I didn't have a regular mechanic and the tow truck driver recommended Elkhart Mechanics. He had previous experience with them and said they were straight forward in their dealings and completed the work fast. I was a little skeptical, but agreed. These guys really know their stuff. I was expectiing the worst with a high repair bill. The problem was a little rubber cap that needed to be replaced because it was worn. The radiator was fine. Great service and a comfortable waiting area. My brakes were starting to make a squealing noise. The mechanics were pretty fast about finding the problem. The brake pads were badly worn. They advised me that they needed to be changed as soon as possible. Even though they were booked, they made room to get my car in and make the repairs that afternoon. If you need diagnostics on any vehicle, then Elkhart Mechanics is a good place to go. They're fast and always friendly. My truck was throwing error codes and we couldn't figure out what the problem was. They plugged it into their machine and knew right off the bat what was going on. There was a fouled sensor that needed to be replaced. Now the truck runs great. I thought the price on the sensor was a little high until I did some research on my own. Elkhart Mechanics always lets you know up front what's going on with your car. We dropped the car off in the morning and within an hour, they called to let me know that they found the problem. They gave me an estimate of what the total charges would be to get the fuel injectors cleaned. The car runs great and I haven't had any more problems. The thing I like most about this company is that they answer all of your questions and they don't rush you or pressure you.
